The works in this series were created in collaboration with South African singer and songwriter Siki Jo-An and actress Asanda Hanabe in Johannesburg, South Africa. They celebrate African womanhood, particularly as expressed in the Xhosa tradition, where women still can be bare-breasted at cultural events without stigma. This is an African heritage that is slowly disappearing in our time.
