This work explores the daily struggles of working-class Black South Africans living in downtown Johannesburg. Despite the end of apartheid, the legacy of spatial inequality and racial segregation persists, leaving many in underdeveloped areas with limited access to opportunities. The piece also reflects my position as an observer who´s caught between being Kongolese and Norwegian—an African and a Western artist caught in the crossfire.
