This work represents a visual conversation between myself and Johannesburg-based artist Solomon Omogboye. During a residency at August House Studios in Johannesburg, we spent time peer reviewing each other’s work, discussing the complexities of our diasporic identities, and the challenges of building an artistic career outside our countries of birth. This piece documents the themes explored and the time shared during this creative exchange.
