This work was produced for the group exhibition Skakke Folkedrakter - Queer folk dress, a touring group exhibition project that has been developed by the Norwegian National Museum in collaboration with, among others, the Norwegian Institute for Bunad and Folk Costume, Valdres Folkemuseum, Randsfjord Museum, Museum Stavanger and Bodø Cultural Capital 2024. Through a process of dialogue with craftspeople and the bearers of tradition in Norway and Sápmi, 6 artists have created six artworks that contribute new perspectives to ongoing debates about textiles, tradition and identity in relation to folk costume traditions.
